Keep Hydrated

It was there, squat and unkempt. maybe a bit moldy.
Rust was showing on the handle. No one would even think of drinking from it.
It was a water fountain in the science basement.
If any plumber ever cared to look, he most certainly would notice that the pipe led no where it just stuck into the wall about a quarter incha and became a little steel nub.

There is nothing remarkable about all this. Most people would care less about nothing.
I would leave it at that. and write about perhaps the amazing chemical explosions going on 4 stories above this dark and dusty basement, except that I aware of a little fact that makes it so glorious to me.
If you were to go down to it, and try to drink right of the bat, it most certainly would give you nothing. BUT.... yes, but.... IF you were so nice as to poor a bottle of clean drinking water down its drain, and then turn the rusty handle..... it will give water!!!!.
I know, perhaps its just taking the water from the drain. No. No such thing exists inside. the Drain is a nub.
If you think this is astonsishing, wait till you hear what happens if you drink the water.
